Pausely is a Chrome extension that reminds you to drink water, blink, stretch, and take breaks. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your information when you use it — which, in short, is nothing leaves your device.

The short version

Pausely collects nothing

Pausely does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, browsing activity, or usage data. It has no analytics, no ad tracking, no user accounts, and no server of its own — it does not make a single network request. Everything Pausely does happens entirely inside your own browser.

What Pausely stores, and where

Pausely saves your reminder settings — which reminders are turned on, their titles, icons, and how often they nudge you — using Chrome's built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data:

  • Stays only on your own device, inside your Chrome profile
  • Is never sent to Pausely's developer, or to any other person, company, or server
  • Is removed automatically if you uninstall the extension

Permissions Pausely uses

alarms
Schedules each reminder's timer so it fires at the interval you choose, even while the popup is closed.
notifications
Shows the reminder nudge itself (e.g. "Drink Water") as a native browser notification — this is Pausely's core function.
storage
Saves your reminder settings locally, as described above, so they persist between browser sessions.

Children's privacy

Pausely does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If Pausely's data practices ever change — for example, if a future version adds an optional account or sync feature — this policy will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date above, before that change ships.
